I personally am very inspired by both TED talks and the concept behind Khan Academy. It's revolutionary what the web and its tools can allow in this day and age.
Khan Academy is a great example of produsage. If you visit the website you'll see that there are youtube video lessons categorized by different topics. Viewers can communicate by posting comments and questions. Furthermore these videos can be easily shared, added to a blog (wink wink) and used by all types of instructors as supplemental material with their lessons.
This enables blended learning to occur. The student can easily view the lesson at their own pace, pause, rewind, and revise on their own, then attend class and practice with the help and feedback from the instructor. It allows for student-centered learning, it frees the teacher from having to do a generic lessons and actually enables him/her to have hands-on time with each individual student to reinforce learning at his/her own level.
I am so excited for the future of education!!!!
